This box allows you, the user to put it in an area that is protected from water. The black box chassis is a corrosion proof, molded poly chassis. Rather than including a CD player as standard equipment with this unit, we feature aux-in so that users can bring along an MP3 player or a variety of other types of portable media. (faceplate required MC-19, MC-18, or REM-45).
