The arm has a socket at either end to allow a ball accessories to be connected. A tightening screw on the side of the arem enables the sockets to clamp firmly on ball. When looseing the side screw, a single spring inside the arm opens the socket for maneuvering of mount, or removing of the ball from the socket.
