- The Wireless Vantage Pro2 has spread spectrum radio transmission from 902 MHz to 928 MHz improves line-of-sight transmission/reception range to 1000 feet. Typical range through multiple walls under most conditions is 200 ft to 400 ft.
- Redesigned rain gauge with aluminum-plated tipping bucket. Corrosion-resistant and laser-calibrated for accuracy. Also provided is a simple clip to change each tip of the bucket from 0.01" to 0.2mm for true English/metric units conversion.

- Redesigned Integrated Sensor Suite (ISS) - New electronics turn the radio into a powerhouse, and yet draw less power than before. Finally, a fifth radiation shield plate has been added to improve the accuracy of temperature readings.
